Solo puzzle-adventure prototype · 2017

Bismuth Valley Demo

A complete multi-storey puzzle sequence built to connect exploration, environmental clues, and visual scripting.

Overview

One level, one connected chain of discoveries.

I created this Windows prototype independently in Unity. I made and rigged the assets in Maya, assembled the spaces, and implemented the puzzle flow with the PlayMaker visual-scripting plugin.

Puzzle flow

Make each object reframe the previous obstacle.

  1. Find a stick and light it at the fire.
  2. Reach a locked door, then search the multi-storey space.
  3. Place the torch to reveal a color password.
  4. Activate pressure plates in that order.
  5. Open the door and reach the next level transition.

Design and visual contribution

The whole prototype was mine; the evidence remains modest.

The level layout, puzzle logic, assets, rigging, and Unity assembly were all my work. The public page and downloadable build provide direct evidence, but only one screenshot and one informal playtest survive.

My brother took time to understand the puzzle and then found it easy. I did not revise the prototype after that test, so I present the observation without claiming a broader validation process.

Project evidence

The public prototype.

Public gameplay image showing the blocky side-view space and color-based environmental puzzle language.

Public build

Playable evidence, preserved as a downloadable prototype.

The itch.io page retains the original archive. It is a direct extract-and-play Windows build rather than a browser demo.
